Workfare Why Good Social Policy Ideas Go Bad: A Critical Analysis of Workfare Programs In her book, "Workfare: Why Good Social Policy Ideas Go Bad Maeve Quaid delves into the definition and history of workfare and provides a critical and comparative analysis of workfare programs in six American states (California, Wisconsin, New York) and three Canadian provinces (Alberta, Ontario, New Brunswick).
