However, setting the toll prices for these lanes remains a challenging task, as it requires finding the optimal balance between reducing travel time and managing demand. This book explores the application of heuristic algorithms to solve this problem and presents a method based on nonlinear programming (NLP), finite difference stochastic approximation, genetic algorithms, and simulated annealing stochastic algorithms within a cell transmission framework.
