Book Description: Economic Development and Islamic Finance: Directions in Development Finance Author: Zamir Iqbal July 8, 2013 Pages: Format: Hardcover/Paperback/E-book Genre: Economics, Finance, Islamic Studies Overview: In the past three decades, the concepts of Islamic finance and Islamic economics have garnered significant attention from researchers worldwide. The expanding market for Shari'ah-compliant transactions has grown at an impressive rate, with an estimated 15-20% annual growth since 1990, currently exceeding $13 trillion in total assets. This growth is driven by both high demand for Shari'ah-compliant products and increased liquidity in the Gulf region due to high oil revenues. While the majority of this growth has been seen in predominantly Muslim countries, Islamic finance is now gaining traction in leading conventional financial centers such as London, New York, and Hong Kong SAR, China.
Economic Development and Islamic Finance: Directions in Development Finance Author: Zamir Iqbal July 8, 2013 Pages: Format: Hardcover/Paperback/E-book Genre: Economics, Finance, Islamic Studies Overview:
