The 2019-2020 school year has been a challenging one for schools across the country, as students, teachers, and administrators have had to navigate the impacts of COVID-19. In response to the pandemic, many schools have implemented remote learning options, which have presented both opportunities and challenges for students, teachers, and parents. One of the key challenges of remote learning has been the need for reliable and consistent access to technology and internet connectivity. Many families have struggled to provide their children with the necessary tools and resources to participate in online learning, and some have faced barriers such as lack of access to devices or limited internet connectivity. This has led to concerns about equity and access, as well as the potential for widening the digital divide between those who have access to technology and those who do not. In addition to these technical challenges, there are also concerns about the social and emotional impacts of remote learning on students. Without the structure and support of a traditional classroom setting, some students may struggle with motivation, engagement, and social interaction. Teachers and parents have had to find creative ways to address these issues and ensure that students are able to learn and thrive in this new environment. Despite these challenges, there have also been opportunities for innovation and creativity in remote learning. For example, some schools have embraced virtual field trips and other interactive activities that allow students to explore new places and ideas from the comfort of their own homes.
