Child No More: A Memoir As I sit down to write this memoir, I am filled with a sense of purpose and urgency. The events of my life have been nothing short of extraordinary, and I feel it is my duty to share them with the world. My name is Xaviera Hollander, and I am the author of the bestselling books "The Happy Hooker" and "The Happy Hooker Goes to Washington. " But this book is different. This is my personal story, the story of how I became the woman I am today, and the journey that led me here. I was born in Indonesia during World War II, just two months after the Japanese occupation began. My mother and I were imprisoned in a prison camp, where we lived for the next two years. My father, a doctor, was imprisoned in another camp, and it was there that he operated on his own daughter without realizing who she was. This is just the beginning of my remarkable life story, one that has been shaped by the examples set by my parents and the tumultuous times in which I grew up.
Child No More: A Memoir

Child No More: A Memoir
