Les Diggers Revolution and Counterculture in San Francisco, 19661-1968: A Study of Technological Evolution and Personal Paradigm In the tumultuous years of 1961 to 1968, a small group of young rebels known as the Diggers revolutionized the counterculture movement in San Francisco. This ragtag band of artists, poets, and activists sought to radicalize the "flower children" of the city's Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, preaching a gospel of free love, free food, and free entertainment. Inspired by the English Commonwealth farmers of the 17th century, who appropriated land from wealthy landowners to cultivate it collectively, the Diggers set out to create a utopian society where all could live freely and gratis. Their methods were unconventional, to say the least.
s Diggers Revolution and Counterculture in San Francisco, 19661-1968: A Study of Technological Evolution and Personal Paradigm
