Relict: A Future of Scarcity and Survival In the not-too-distant future, Earth is visited by the Kir, an immortal and technologically advanced civilization who have been the target of the Va'lo, a species driven by scarcity and violence. The Kir, caught off guard by the sudden attack, are forced to retreat to their spacecraft and leave behind a small group of human consultants to assist with developing strategies based on their own scarcity-driven nature. Finton Glass, a mid-level engineer, is chosen as one of the consultants and is paired with his Kir partner, Ana. As they embark on their journey, Fin and Ana develop a strong bond, but their mission quickly changes from consultation to survival when their transport is ambushed. Fin must now use his skills to keep himself and Ana alive while trying to understand the Va'lo and their motivations.
